Why Apex Dreams

One person has a good idea. Four people attack it from four angles.

Dreams, Apex Dreams creative strategist and director
01

Dreams

The one who won't let an idea leave the group chat half-baked. Strategist, director, writer, occasionally in front of the camera when the bit needs it. If the shoot has a spine, Dreams built it.

Femi Grogu, Apex Dreams director and cinematographer
02

Femi Grogu

Director, writer, photographer, cinematographer — the eye behind most of what makes it onto the wall. Cares more about whether a shot feels right than whether it's technically correct, which is usually the same thing anyway.

Jasper, Apex Dreams on-camera talent
03

Jasper

Lives on the feed so the rest of the team doesn't have to. Knows a format is dying before the algorithm admits it, and won't touch a trend unless there's a reason it fits the brand — not just because it's hot this week.

Merlin, Apex Dreams outreach and on-camera talent
04

Merlin

The reason a brand ends up in the room in the first place. Outreach, on-camera talent, and the one who can talk a client through a concept that sounds strange on paper until they see it shot.

What we make

We don't make one type of ad.

01

Relatable

The "that's literally me" content. Everyday situations, reactions, and lifestyle that feels native to the feed.

02

Trend-led

We track formats, behaviours and cultural moments worth adapting — not blindly copying whatever's trending this week.

03

Performance UGC

Hooks, demonstrations, testimonials, objection-handling and direct-response creative — built Spark Ads / whitelisting-ready for paid.

04

Conceptual ads

Scripted, directed, cinematic — strange when the brand calls for it. Ads people actually remember.

05

Educational

Explainers, founder-led content, and talking-head formats that build authority for the brand.

06

Product & lifestyle

Clean, aspirational product-in-use content for whatever's actually being sold.

07

Social content & short-form

Content that keeps your brand moving. Reels, TikToks and Shorts — planned, shot and edited so your feed doesn't go quiet between campaigns.

Selected work

The work, not just the reel.

Every project on this wall has a problem, an idea, and a reason it worked — not just a video.

Every card links out to the live video on TikTok — thumbnails can't be embedded, so this is the wall as clickable proof, not staged mockups.

Relatable / Trend

Also on TikTok

The thinking

Built on formats sourced from both Nigerian and international creators — Better Website Co. targets local and foreign clients, so the trend pool was deliberately mixed rather than picked from one scene.

Proves: native social formats + trend adaptation across audiences.

The thinking

Same mixed-trend approach — local and foreign formats combined for a brand serving both audiences.

Proves: native social formats + trend adaptation across audiences.

AI Concept

Better Website Co. — AI manifesto

Also on TikTok

The thinking

Inspired by Apple's 1984 ad. A wave of self-styled "website gurus" now build purely with AI — this positions Better Website Co. against that crowd. The founder's actual design, writing and psychology experience is the real differentiator; AI is just the tool that lets him move faster. Built from AI-generated stills animated into video, edited with custom sound design.

Proves: conceptual advertising + storytelling + creative experimentation.

Relatable

Eat Deez

AI Red Bull–style spot · also on TikTok

The thinking

Inspired by Red Bull's short-ad style — stills generated with AI, turned into video, then edited with sound effects and a soundtrack. Most of the voice acting was done in-house rather than outsourced.

Proves: cinematic advertising + AI-assisted production.

AI Concept

Oraimo — AI concept

Also on TikTok

The thinking

Modeled on a Red Bull-style short-ad format, adapted from an AI production workflow spotted from a TikTok creator. AI-generated stills, animated into video and cut for a scroll-stopping hook.

Proves: cinematic advertising + AI-assisted production.

Performance

scre.io

Also on TikTok

The thinking

Built around a real, specific frustration: most screen-recorder extensions cap you at 20 minutes and lock the download behind a paywall — often discovered only after you've already recorded. The video positions scre.io as the unlimited alternative, no subscription required.

Proves: performance / problem-solution creative.

Faceless case study

Better Website Co. — faceless case study

Watch on TikTok →

The thinking

Built to showcase a real website redesign the client delivered through chat-based collaboration — a behind-the-scenes look at the work itself, framed to show the process.

Proves: client work presentation + behind-the-scenes storytelling.

Trend format

Better Website Co. — trend format

Also on TikTok

The thinking

A football/gaming-trend adaptation for Better Website Co. — riding a native gaming moment rather than a straight product pitch.

Proves: native social formats + trend adaptation across audiences.

Social media management

Better Website Co. — @betterwebsiteco

We run this account →

The thinking

Beyond one-off pieces, we manage Better Website Co.'s TikTok on an ongoing basis — posting cadence, format mix and account growth, not just individual deliverables.

Proves: ongoing social media management, not just production.

Editing

Latitude Café & Lounge — trend montage

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Latitude is her client.

The thinking

Raw footage shot across the venue, cut into a single running trend bit ("POV: the social media manager chooses you") with one persistent caption carried across several different locations and setups.

Proves: multi-clip assembly + consistent caption/trend pacing.

Editing

Latitude Café & Lounge — venue intro

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Latitude is her client.

The thinking

A staff-introduction piece built around a "Call Me Maybe" trend sound, cut between a talking clip and venue b-roll with a day-to-night transition to close.

Proves: sound-led pacing + b-roll integration.

Editing

Latitude Café & Lounge — menu reveal

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativville); Latitude is her client.

The thinking

A quick comedic reveal gag — cards whipped in front of camera with fast motion-blur cuts timed to the beat, rather than a static product shot.

Proves: fast-cut comedic timing.

Editing

Gation x Latitude — collab piece

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativville); shot at Latitude.

The thinking

A branded apparel collab filmed on Latitude's outdoor terrace, cut to a bold "Link in bio" callout treatment for the close.

Proves: on-location branded content + CTA graphic treatment.

Editing

Afomot Auto Services — lot walkthrough

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Afomot is her client.

The thinking

A used-car lot piece shot handheld on location, cut with auto-captions and a DM call-to-action card to close.

Proves: location shoots + caption-led pacing.

Editing

Afomot Auto Services — tire check

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Afomot is her client.

The thinking

A closer, inspection-style cut of the same shoot — kneeling at the wheel, captioned word-by-word, closing on the "Afomot Auto Services" logo card.

Proves: close-up product detail cuts + logo-card closes.

Editing

Afomot Auto Services — lot, take two

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Afomot is her client.

The thinking

A second pass on the same location and talent — a different angle on the pitch, cut and captioned separately to give the client two distinct posts from one shoot day.

Proves: getting multiple distinct cuts out of a single shoot.

Editing

Afomot Auto Services — storefront

Edited for Funmilayo (Mafio Creativille); Afomot is her client.

The thinking

An establishing shot of the actual dealership storefront and showroom, closing the set with a clean logo card rather than another product close-up.

Proves: establishing/location shots + brand close cards.

Creative ad

Dove — creative ad

Also on TikTok

The thinking

Started from the one thing people are always cautious about with body sprays: white marks left on the body. The whole video was built to test — on camera — whether Dove leaves that stain. Dreams directed and shot it; Femi Grogu was the on-camera model, chosen for hand and body frame.

Proves: product UGC + problem-solution creative + performance thinking.

Unsolicited spec

Airtel — spec creative

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Airtel.

The thinking

A relatable skit about a bad network complaint, landing on Airtel's own tagline at the end. Made without a brief or a client relationship — a demonstration of concepting and production, not client work.

Proves: concept development + advertising + production + storytelling.

Unsolicited spec

Magik — spec creative

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Magik.

The thinking

A relatable skit between two friends, landing on the product at the end. Same self-initiated approach as the Airtel spec — no brief, no client relationship, made to demonstrate the format.

Proves: relatable/skit format + concept development + production.

Unsolicited spec

Boardy.ai — talking-head pitch

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Boardy.ai.

The thinking

Direct-to-camera, building to a screenshot of Boardy's own social proof (40K+ followers, hundreds of thousands of introductions) before the logo reveal — letting the product's own numbers close the pitch instead of a script claim.

Proves: UGC for SaaS + talking-head performance format.

Unsolicited spec

Boardy.ai — faceless demo

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Boardy.ai.

The thinking

Hands-only, green screen: the pain point (manually working LinkedIn DMs) on a laptop, then the fix (an actual Boardy text thread making an introduction) on a phone. No face needed — the before/after screens do the selling.

Proves: faceless production + UGC for SaaS.

Unsolicited spec

Boardy.ai — "having a bad day?"

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Boardy.ai.

The thinking

An emotional hook rather than a feature hook — opens on visible stress, not a problem statement. A different entry point into the same pitch as the other Boardy specs, testing which angle a real client brief would actually want to run with.

Proves: hook-writing + talking-head performance format.

Unsolicited spec

Boardy.ai — "need more connections?"

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Boardy.ai.

The thinking

The shortest of the four — a single-question hook straight into the product. Built to test a fast, low-production cut of the same pitch against the longer talking-head versions.

Proves: hook-writing + fast-turnaround production.

Client work

Better Website Co. — talking-head

Commissioned client work.

The thinking

A longer-form direct-to-camera piece for Better Website Co., the same client behind the AI manifesto and trend-format pieces above — part of an ongoing relationship rather than a one-off.

Proves: talking-head performance format + repeat client trust.

Unsolicited spec

Petrite — talking-head

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Petrite.

The thinking

Direct-to-camera product UGC for Petrite, a pet-supplies platform — talking head cut against the actual storefront, closing on a real listing (Booster Cat Dry Food) rather than a generic shot of the homepage.

Proves: UGC for e-commerce + talking-head performance format.

Unsolicited spec

Petrite — storefront walkthrough

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Petrite.

The thinking

A second angle on the same brand, different talent — talking head building into a screen-recorded browse of Petrite's treats and "who are you shopping for" flow, closing on the storefront itself rather than one product.

Proves: UGC for e-commerce + app/storefront walkthroughs.

Unsolicited spec

Petrite — real cats, real reactions

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Petrite.

The thinking

The longest and most relatable of the three Petrite pieces — two people, two real cats on set, reacting unscripted before cutting to the Petrite storefront (flea & tick treatment). Built to test whether genuine animal reactions outperform a straight pitch.

Proves: relatable/unscripted format + UGC for e-commerce.

Unsolicited spec

Binance — crypto scam awareness

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Binance.

The thinking

An educational angle rather than a feature pitch — builds to Binance's own "How to Identify and Avoid Crypto Scams" support article, closing on the logo. Trust-building content rather than a direct sell.

Proves: educational/trust content + talking-head performance format.

Unsolicited spec

Bybit — app walkthrough

Self-initiated concept, not commissioned by or affiliated with Bybit.

The thinking

Talking head cut against a screen-recorded walkthrough of Bybit's coin-selection and deposit flow — demystifying the app itself as the hook, closing on the logo.

Proves: UGC for SaaS/fintech + screen-record production.

Trend format

Relatable

Nectorra — Service & Contractors

Day-in-the-life format, client work.

The thinking

A day-in-the-life POV format — timestamps stamped through the day, ending on a phone notification from a client booking a job. Built to demonstrate Nectorra's Service & Contractors feature (hire vetted pros, fast responses) the way it'd actually get used, not as a feature-list voiceover.

Proves: relatable/day-in-life format + product UGC for an app.

Relatable

Nectorra — Marketplace search

Day-in-the-life format, client work.

The thinking

Same day-in-life structure, different scene and cast — builds to a screen-recorded search on the app (searching a used car, a familiar Nigerian classifieds habit) landing on the "Everything you need in one place" positioning: verified sellers, trusted listings, seamless discovery.

Proves: relatable/day-in-life format + product UGC for an app.

Faceless concept

Nectorra — faceless marketplace concept

Green-screen concept, client work.

The thinking

Hands-only, shot on green screen: gadgets and personal items arranged into a flat-lay, built for the Marketplace side of the app — sell what's sitting in your house. No face, no talent booking, just as usable for a brand that wants faceless, compositing-ready creative.

Proves: faceless production + conceptual/product creative.

How we think

Don't make content. Make something worth watching.
Good creative deserves distribution. We don't leave it waiting.
A trend is a format. Not an idea.

Distribution

Make it good. Then make sure people see it.

Organic reach is useful — it isn't the strategy. We create the content and put distribution behind it, so it reaches the audience it was actually built for. Good creative still earns the organic boost it deserves; it just doesn't have to wait for it.

Paid amplification

We build the creative and put media spend behind it — Spark Ads, whitelisting, boosted posts — so it reaches the audience it was made for.

Creative distribution & clipping

Sitting on a podcast, an interview, a launch stream or any other long-form content? We turn it into multiple platform-native clips — not just cut smaller, but chosen for the hooks, insights and moments worth watching — and get them into the ecosystem through a curated network of short-form editors and creators.

We don't ask "what should we post?" We ask what deserves to be posted, how it should be packaged, and who should see it — then use what the response tells us for what comes next. No promises of guaranteed views or virality — just a real process for getting good content in front of people.

Long-form content Find the moments Platform-native clips Publish & seed Measure & learn

Especially useful for podcast hosts, founders, creators and personal brands, and any business sitting on long-form content nobody's cutting down yet.

Yes — no shoot required. Send us what you've got and we'll cut it into Reels, TikToks and Shorts ready to post.

Yes. For restaurants, cafés, gyms, hotels and similar brands, that usually looks like a content day — we shoot a batch of footage and edit it into weeks' worth of posts, not a single video.

Yes, both are included in production — from hook to final cut.

Yes, amplification is offered alongside creative production for brands that want both handled together.

Taking long-form content — a podcast, an interview, a launch stream — and cutting it into short-form pieces built for how each platform actually gets watched. We pick the clips based on what's worth watching, not just where a scene happens to end.

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. What we can promise is a real process — good creative, packaged properly, put where the audience already is — and clear reporting on what actually happened.

Ownership and paid-usage rights are set out clearly in the project agreement before we start — no ambiguity after delivery.

Timelines depend on scope and concept complexity — this gets confirmed with you at the brief stage.
